Rooted in craftsmanship and integrity, our company has expanded and innovated over the years thanks to the guidance of Joan and Larry Johnson, Sr. Presently under the helm of Larry Johnson, Jr., L. Johnson Construction has developed into a robust organization with a dedicated office staff and a reputation as a prominent force in the California construction landscape.

Headquartered in Gardena, California, L. Johnson Construction has over 50 years of experience in the construction arena. We specialize in commercial construction, with a particular focus on concrete and masonry work for expansive building projects and, most notably, freeway sound walls. We are responsible for the construction of most of the masonry block sound walls along the freeways and thoroughfares across California, and recently completed over 10 miles of wave pattern sound walls on the I-405 Improvement Project, the largest highway infrastructure project in the state. We also built over 650,000 square feet of sound walls on the I-405 Sepulveda Pass “Carmageddon” Project, all the walls on State Route 22, the I-10 Corridor Design Build Project, and as well have worked on hundreds of other Caltrans contracts. Sound wall Package 10 along Route 134 and Route 210, spanning from Toluca Lake to Arcadia, is upcoming.
